(Note: This web will not upgrade again, please view chinese version...sorry)
Summary:
There are many tools that can let us use Chinese on WinCE .
The machine that run Windws CE are PPC,HPC,HPC Pro.Just PPC has Chinese version. Please see the comparison.
Windows CE is based on unicode. So you can use Chinese on it.
There are many true type fonts with Chinese. I use mssong.ttf .Please put it on \Windows\. Reset your HPC. If you can change fonts to MS Song on Pocket Word,it works.
And then, chinese can be show at any software that can set font to MS Song (such as Pocket Word,Pocket Excel,Pocket Contacts,Pocket Tasks).
But every chinese file writing by BIG5/GB code must be converted to unicode(UCS format).
We can not sent chinese with UCS format on MAIL,we muse convert it to UTF/BIG5/GB format first.
More discussion about UNICODE on CE by Rafael is here.
You can D/L mssong.ttf mingliu.ttf from
IE's Language Packs
or get it from the fully chinese version of IE4.0.

A new version the UTF<->UCS converter is ok now.
Clipboard support has been bug fixed (thanks Jango).
Proposed manner of use for this converter is:
- open a UTF mail
- mark all, copy to clip
- run converter
- open resulting UCS encoded file
or
- compose UCS encoded file
- run converter, it'll put the converted text to clip
- compose mail, paste clip and send
UTF can be used to send/receive e-mail in *any* language. PocketScheme version 0.2.6 is required.
